Clozapine Assay Service Goes Live 1st Nov (Oct 2007)
Clozapine is a second generation antipsychotic that is used in patients who do not respond to other drugs. Plasma clozapine assay can be very helpful in guiding treatment with this uniquely effective agent. The Toxicology Unit began to offer this assay in September, and the service is being made available countrywide from 1st
November with 48 hour turnround and Results On-line.
