Purpose of the test
Description: In cases of raised Hb F analysis of the differences in the intracellular distribution of HbF can be used to distinguish between heterozygotes for delta-beta thalassaemia and the African form of HPFH.

Sample Requirements
Minimum 1 ml EDTA blood. If required will be performed as additional part of Sickle Cell and Thalssaemia Screen.

Sample must be received in laboratory within 2 days of collection
