Lymphocyte Subset Enumeration
Immunology and Allergy Overview / Directory
Purpose of the test
This investigation allows the enumeration of the following lymphocyte subsets:
T cells (CD3) and their subsets (CD3+CD4+ and CD3+CD8+)
B cells (CD19)
NK cells (CD16/56)
This investigation may be used as a screening tool for suspected lymphocyte immunodeficiency. The assay is performed using the accurate single platform technology and provides both percentage and absolute number of each subset.
